Jim's love for landscaping started at an early age in Pennsylvania when his maternal grandfather allowed him to ride with him on his lawn mower while he visited his grandparents. Later on his paternal grandfather taught him how to maintain the lawn equipment, mow the lawn, trim shrubs and maintain his vegetable garden.  Under the guidance of Jim Sr., Jim took over maintaining the family lawn throughout his teenage years.  These memories are what Jim attributes his love for property care and how to do things the right way. Jim attributes his work ethic to his father.   Jim continued his passion for landscaping in college while working for a local landscaping company in the summer months.  Jim served 4 years in the United States Air Force as an avionics technician. While stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB Jim was asked to assist in some of the base's landscape projects.  Jim moved to Southport in 2004 to start Jim's Lawn company with his family. Over the years Jim has worked with several builders in the area to design and install new home construction landscapes. Jim has a North Carolina pest control and turf management license that he has maintained in good standing for the past 15 years. On August 1st, 2015 Jim received his North Carolina Landscape Contractors License. Jim hopes to continue creating and maintaining landscapes for homeowners in the Southport area for many years to come. Jim would like to say "thank you" to his many valuable customers over the years. ​
